The retreat will be held at the Tibbits Nature Sanctuary in Columbiaville, in southeastern Michigan and will run from Friday afternoon, including all vegan and primarily organic meals, much of the food being locally grown, through Sunday lunch. Directions are at the bottom of this page.

The program will begin after dinner on Friday and will conclude with lunch on Sunday. If you'd like to stay a bit longer and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the sanctuary, there is an optional Sunday night gourmet vegan buffet meal offered a la carte at $15-25 per person.

The cost of the program, including tuition and a certificate of completion, with six meals and use of the grounds for camping, is $135 per person if you register by June 15, 2008. After that, it will be $150 per person. Please register soon if you are interested in attending, because we are cutting off the registration at about 40 people so that we can have an optimum experience and be respectful of the sanctuary land.

If you are interested in facilitating courses or study groups on The World Peace Diet, this retreat is highly recommended, and is also intended for people who are not at this point so inclined.

Closest city and airport: Flint and Bishop International Airport (25-30 miles from the LSC). Take I-69 east to Lapeer exit, then M-24 north thru Lapeer and on about 7 miles to Columbiaville Road (blinking light). Turn left (west) on Columbiavilleville Road for 5 miles to village limits. The Columbiaville Bapist Church on north side of road is landmark. It is directly across from the turn in to the LSC (#4107).

From the Detroit area or Detroit Metropolitian Airport (about 50-60 miles from LSC): Take I-75 north to Lapeer exit. Take Lapeer Road (M24) north thru Lake Orion, Oxford and Lapeer and then follow directions above to Columbiaville Road and LSC driveway.

Now for the short and sweet part: To get to the LSC from Columbiaville Road, turn left (south) across from the Church and into the asphalt parking lot of a brick house (#4261). Then take an immediate right on a gravel lane and follow the signs for LSC parking (about a quarter mile).
